I'm hopelessly in love with this mini-series. So much so that I had a hard time figuring out which scene I wanted to picspam. I went with this in the end because it rips my heart out every time. If you've never seen The 10th Kingdom, then I recommend checking it out...





Huntsman: You only get to watch.





Wolf: Time for the royal toast... Your Majesty

Wolf: No!





Virginia: Stop. Mom.







Evil Queen: You've drawn... blood.

Virginia: I'm sorry.








Virginia: No! No! No, please don't die. Don't die! Just remember who you are.

Evil Queen (Christine): It's too late. Don't cry. My little girl... my little girl.
I gave away my soul...

Virginia: Please! Wait! ... Mommy!





"Prince Wendell": Oh, I think I've drunk too much champagne.

Some guy: What's happening? What's going on?

Virginia: Why aren't you all dead?





Virginia: I thought you poisoned everybody?

Wolf: Oh, no! Troll dust. I swapped the poison for a pinch of troll dust... just to make it look convincing. I'm sorry I had to trick you.





Wolf: Go for it Wendie! Go!

That oughta do the trick.

The real Prince Wendell: I'm back? I'm back!

oh my gosh! I LOVE the 10th kingdom! I watched it when it first came on and I still love it! I found it on dvd a few months ago and have been using it to get my friends hooked on it...

the end always gets to me! sooo sad!

I've managed to spread the 10K love by lending out my copy of it to my friends as well. I can be pretty pushy when I fall head over heels for something, heh.

It's no longer on... it was a mini-series that came out in 2000*. Sky One (maybe Sky Two) occasionally rerun it though.

I think the whole thing may be up on youtube...

You would be right in thinking that. You can find some very well known fairy tales within the story.

As for what it is about... IMDB is my friend:

Two centuries after Snow White and Cinderella had their adventures, the Nine Kingdoms ready themselves for the coronation of Prince Wendel, Snow White's grandson, to the throne of the Fourth Kingdom. But an evil once-queen has freed herself from prison, and turns the prince into a golden retriever. Wendel, by means of a magic mirror, escapes into a hitherto-unknown Tenth Kingdom (modern day New York City) and meets Virginia and her father Tony. Pursued by trolls, cops, and a wolf in man's form, the three blunder back into the Nine Kingdoms and begin their adventures to restore Wendel to his human form and throne, and find the magic mirror that will take Tony and Virginia back home, all the while unknowing that Virginia already has a connection to the Nine Kingdoms that may prove deadly before we reach Happily Ever After.
